Settlement layer Block 18,442,901 finalized

The settlement layer
for on-chain capital.

Strata unifies liquidity across fourteen chains into a single programmable credit market. Sub-second finality. Atomic settlement. No bridges.

Protocol primitives

Four guarantees, enforced on chain.

Strata is not a bridge and not a rollup. It is a settlement ledger that treats liquidity as a shared primitive rather than a per-chain asset.

Atomic settlement

Every transfer clears in a single slot. No partial fills, no stuck mempool, no reconciliation window.

380ms finality

Unified liquidity

One order book aggregates depth from fourteen execution domains, so size never walks the price down.

14 chains

Programmable credit

Collateral, haircuts and repayment schedules are enforced by the protocol account, not by an operator.

Yield-bearing

Verifiable security

Every state transition ships with a validity proof. Light clients verify settlement without trusting a relayer.

Proof per block
Mechanics

Three steps from deposit to finality.

The same path serves a retail swap and an institutional treasury rebalance. Only the size changes.

Deposit into a vault

Send assets from any connected chain. The light client attests the deposit before the next slot opens.

Route against real depth

The solver network quotes against aggregated liquidity and returns a signed settlement plan.

Settle atomically

The plan executes inside one batch. If any leg reverts, the whole batch reverts with it.

Questions

Everything you would ask on a call.

What exactly does Strata settle?
Balances. Every domain on the network holds an account on the same ledger, so a transfer is a state transition rather than a message between chains. There is no wrapped asset and no bridge contract holding escrow.
How is finality measured at 380ms?
A rotating committee signs each slot. Once two thirds of the stake-weighted committee attests a block, the state transition is irreversible from the protocol view. Light clients verify the same attestation with a few kilobytes of data.
Do I need to run a validator to use the network?
No. Wallets and applications only need an RPC endpoint. Validators are required for those who want to earn fees or participate in governance.
What happens if a settlement batch fails?
The batch is atomic. If any leg reverts, the entire batch reverts and funds remain in the originating vault. There is no intermediate state where one side has moved and the other has not.
Is there an audit trail?
Each block carries a validity proof and a permanent receipt log. Archived nodes serve the full history, and the proof format is documented so third parties can verify independently.
Where do I start as a developer?
The SDK exposes vault, quote and settlement calls in TypeScript, Rust and Go. A local devnet runs the same contracts with instant finality so integration tests stay fast.
